Nestled within 10 acres of private woodland on a wooded ridge The Lodge offers a unique setting for gatherings that feel immersed in nature and is available for small, thoughtfully curated events of up to 25 guests. The space is particularly suited to retreat leaders, workshop facilitators, private groups and those seeking a unique outdoor setting for their gathering.

The Woodland Space
Field - 23m × 49m (approx. 0.29 acres)
The secluded area is entered through a natural tunnel cut through the hedgerow, with colourful ribbons hanging from the trees. The path opens into a secluded grassed field and is surrounded by a mixture of trees. Within the field are two covered shelters.
Large covered shelter - 11.5m × 8m
A natural, rustic, open-sided wooden pole shelter with a corrugated roof, decorated with natural elements, large fabric rope-tassel bunting and festoon lighting. The overall styling gives the shelter a natural relaxed bohemian feel.
It contains three long handmade Redwood tables with benches.
The open sides mean that it remains connected to the surrounding woodland rather than feeling like an enclosed building. The shelter provides seating for up to 27 people and is suitable for workshops, teaching, group discussions, creative activities, shared meals and private dining.
Smaller covered shelter - 5m × 3.5m
A separate rustic covered space beside the main shelter, used for cooking, food preparation or other activities, with partially enclosed corrugated sides.
Fire circle area - 12.5m × 9m
At the far end of the field is the woodland fire circle, nestled among towering mature poplar trees. Several rustic log benches are arranged around the central circular fire area, which is gravelled and edged with local Blue Lias stone. The fire circle provides a particularly atmospheric setting for ceremonies, circles, storytelling, fire cooking, shared meals, private gatherings and evening events.
After dark, lanterns, candles and battery-powered festoon lighting add to the atmosphere of the woodland, making the fire circle and surrounding areas especially suited to evening gatherings.

The Lodge is a genuinely off-grid woodland venue, offering a chance to step away from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with nature.
Free from mains electricity and running water, the woodland retains a simple, natural character.
By day, guests can enjoy the peace and privacy of the forest setting. By night, the fire circle, festoon lighting and lanterns create a warm and atmospheric gathering space beneath the trees.
